SMILNOV…
they probably wait until after 9, when the admissions office is closed and most of the admissions people shut down CC… haha. just a thought. May have to do with the west coast hearing during the same time as the others…ie. done for the day.??

Yeah…I got deferred by UChicago… So I’ll be lucky to even be deferred for MIT… :(

I think in the past they have released them a few minutes before the stated time :)

@JDong217,
Once you click to see your results, a letter will appear on your screen. In the past, some students have been so nervous that they’ve reported having to read and re-read the first paragraph several times before they understood what the letter said …

I wish you all the best.

I told my immediate family and a few of my friends when decisions are released, but somehow something like 25 people (some of which I hardly know) came and wished me good luck today in school. My confusion over how they know aside, I am glad that I have such great friends and such a supportive community. Whether I get accepted or rejected or deferred, I’m grateful that this process has granted me insight into how caring my community actually is.

3 hours! I can’t wait!

What will be your reaction if you get accepted/rejected/deferred?

I have no idea what I’ll do in any case…

“Whether I get accepted or rejected or deferred, I’m grateful that this process has granted me insight into how caring my community actually is.”

This, for sure :)

Yeah, my school’s been awesome.

It’s my birthday today, and my french class got me a cake with “Good luck at MIT” on it…

So yeah, now I know people around me really do care. :D

^^^^^^ I know! my counselor cares so much, and I thought she just didn’t like me beforehand.

I told her I got into UChicago today, and she cried and hugged me! She actually suggested the school for me (I had taken off the list because it doesn’t have engineering), and I got in and really like it. I don’t know if she’d have the same reaction over MIT, but I sure felt like she cared about me. I can’t even tell you how much that means. College admissions just brings it out in people. She had a bigger reaction than my mom, too.

Today is a good day. It will continued to be remembered as a good day, no matter the outcome.

@kevmus: Happy Birthday!!!

Oh, happy birthday kevmus!

I had a physics test today that was a makeup. It was 2 hours long. Then I had my chemistry exam, which was 3 hours long. And last night, I spent 7 hours making the periodic table out of cookies to thank my chem teacher for recs/to cheer up my class after the exam. So I’m feeling very science-y.

OMG OMG OMG !!! I found a way to get MIT decisions now by editing the url using a part of the my.mit.edu url
start with decisions.mit.edu/
put your username at the end, followed by a slash “/”
then go to my.mit.edu, copy the url, login, and then copy the new url. put both url’s next to each other, there is one section between the two url’s that is different (shown in pic below)
■■■■■■■.com/2g9mqh
put that section at the end of the slash
and you should get your decision if it’s been made

I got deferred :(

You stink, feuxfollets… :P

It’s the first time I’ve been rickroll’d in a month! Gah.

Haha very nice.

totally didn’t see that coming :)

^ You got me :(

Ahhh so close
I can’t believe we’re almost there I’ve been waiting for this for so long :)

I can’t wait!!!

this is crazy. I told myself that I wouldn’t care this much. In all liklihood, it’ll just be a defferel. Yet here I am… :(

2 hours and 12 minutes… :O
