Sweet. Today does sounds like a great day for many. Congrats lgoldie!

Mine is stiiillllll pending to! I’m waiting very un-patiently haha

To those still waiting, I was talking with Chapman today about the new admissions function next Sunday, and we were talking about people waiting. For those of you still waiting, once your status changes, they understand people need to make plans, so they will tell students over the phone the decision once it is made, and you do not have to wait for the letter. They told another student’s parent the same thing yesterday. So if your status changes and you do not want to wait for the letter, you can call them and find out. I sure would not want to be one of them telling somebody they did not get in, but it sure would be fun to tell somebody they did get in! It has to be the student calling, though. They will not tell parents. Good luck to all of you still in limbo!

Ok…trying not to get too excited here. (!!!) I received an e-mail this afternoon inviting me to Preview Day. It wasn’t a personal email, more like a mass one, and it said in the headline “Now that you’ve been admitted…” OMG…dare I hope? My status changed on Web Advisor on the 29th to decision mailed, and the 2nd choice that I was applying for appeared on the 31st. I think this is good, but so afraid to hope.

chimchim; I think it is very safe to assume that you did get IN! My daughter got her acceptance envelope today and the email today. I just think that your snail mail just got delayed for some reason. CONGRATS! You could call admissions as Robfixit suggested just to be sure.

@chimchim
my webadvisor changed to mailed on the 29th as well and I havent gotten the acceptance packet yet but I did receive the email!!
im pretty sure we got in! yayyy

also got the email! still waiting for my package but since all of my financial aid stuff loaded I’m pretty sure it’s guaranteed we’re in … haha

My status just changed to decision mailed on April 2nd. I’m quite nervous because I have not received anything from Chapman (email, financial aid package, etc.) Does this mean I didn’t get accepted?

Is anyone’s status still ‘decision pending’?
It’s already april 2nd and I’m starting to get concerned!

Mine still is. Check what I posted a few posts up (number 137). They’re doing their best to get all decisions out this coming week I believe.

I thought April 1st would be dday… but havent heard back anyone know when Chapman must notify students or is it rolling

They say that they’re trying to get all the results out by the first week of April

I have decided not to go to Chapman so for anyone on the waitlist, I hope you get my spot!

I got accepted to UCLA but got waitlisted to Chapman. Is this typical?

In the college admissions process, nowadays, anything can happen. Chapman has an excellent reputation and is getting increasingly popular and selective. Chapman is among the best, and DS knew it by forgoing other excellent schools last year to attend Chapman and had made the right choice. Very pleased.

Congratulations to those who got in, and best of luck to those who are waitlisted.

@wmidnight - accepted at UCLA, USC, UCSC, actually, all of the schools applied to - waitlisted at Chapman, lol! In all, sorta glad it worked out that way. That, along with the insanely long time waiting to hear back from admissions (seriously?!?) made me realize Chapman wasn’t the best bet. Thanks but no thanks on that waitlist offer, I have a few other options…haha!

@jjturlington - I totally agree with you there. By the way, what is your major? I am majoring in biology. I think the other schools I was accepted to [UCLA, UCSD, UCI - with honors and scholarships] all have better biology departments/reputations than Chapman. So, as you said, “Thanks but no thanks on that waitlist offer!” Something better has come along, lol!!

I’m also not going to Chapman, so good luck to everyone who was waitlisted and wants to go there…

Yeah well, good luck to you two (jj & WM). But don’t make yourself look unintelligent by attacking the school because they wait-listed you.

I think it’s the same person ^^. Haha. They type exactly the same and both have 2 posts. I don’t see why that would be necessary but some people are just weird. And honors at UCSD and LA? Big pimpin’ over here. Yeah, right.

Chapman, yeee yeee!
