Class of 2012 Likely Letters

Well ya, especially when you add in the 300 ED's to the 500, that's 40% of admitted students already offered out there. That's why I was saying that the no-likely admit rate for regulars is now around 8% (1200 more out of the original 15000 applicants). But then I like BC Calc...

@eaglet

If it's dated the 7th, but not postmarked until the 10th, that means they dropped them off at the post office the 10th.

The mail runs on Saturdays, too.

Some post offices don't get around to postmarking them on Saturdays since a lot of them are only open half-days. I know that from bulk class mailings I've done at school. We deleiver them Friday afternoon and they don't put them out until MOnday morning. This is really getting kinda surgical here, but who knows what time they ran them off and labelled them on that Friday, or if they even finished them that Friday...I mean we are disecting about administrative tasks here. The letters were dated Friday and postmarked Monday...doesn't strike me as odd at all. The bigger point is that in years past they did 3 waves, one every 2 weeks over a 6 week period, and it looks like those were on Fridays, too. This year they have done 6 weekly ones over the same 6 weeks. And given the changed letter on the status page, I would say we are on the launching pad now.

I got one too!!!! Written march 7th, postmarked march 11th, and received on the 14th. = )

Maybe Marty McFly started working for Dartmouth and is the person in charge of writing likely letters. He forgot to write his letters on the 7th so he went back in time to write the letters but had to sneak out before his encountered his former self. In a mad rush, he forgot to mail the letters until he got back to the 10th. Upon arriving back on the 10th, he placed the letters in the mailbox and made the whole mission pointless :)

have any of you likely letter ppl received more letters recently (possibly addressed to "Parents of ___") about Dimensions & how they might provide transportation?

& if you have, are any of you around the tristate area & are going on their shuttlebuses or whatever?

Why is your text green? It is an annoying color ;)

Seriously, this is hard to read.

I didn't get a likely letter at all :(
