I’m kind of on the opposite end. I’m currently ranked 1, but my SATs are a bit shaky. They’re in the realm of Columbia, but I’m planning on retaking in October after studying during the summer to have a more concrete score.

The SAT is the one thing I can’t improve any further on. The rest of my application is another story lol.

Applying to CC, but not sure if I’ll ED here or at Wharton. I’ll have to visit before I decide. Columbia is currently my top choice though. My GPA/Rank is my strength, SAT is stable I guess… ECs need some boosting

And for the students currently in grade 11, so it begins…

good luck kids! And remember, always get a girlfriend before you get your decisions. After all, you’ll want a shoulder to cry on! (or someone to bequeath your stuff to :P)

I think im going to ED Columbia. I love the City.

Hopefully ED to CC…Ecstatic that Columbia decided to join the CommonApp…Any other prospective philosophy majors?

im applying!
i really dont want to do ED though

I’m definitely applying. I’m debating between Yale, Bowdoin, and Columbia for ED/SCEA. It all depends on my standardized test scores… EW.

applying! i love NYC!

Definitely applying ED. I visited the campus in March, and it was like the best day cause it was the practically the first nice Spring day of the year. Everyone was out on the lawn, and once you stepped on the campus, you do not feel like you are in the middle of a city. It’s great! lol

I know I am a long-shot since I have average (on here horrible) standardized test scores, but I’m praying everything else I do will show I am a dedicated person and is smart enough to go to Columbia.

hoping to go too.
but when does the app become available?

Columbia’s an AMAZING school but I hate New York City :(

^NYC can definitely be overwhelming.
i live in nj…about 20 minutes from manhattan…and everytime i go i come back home sooo tired
im used to serene, emptiness…i hate crowds.

^ Don’t forget to add expensive.

I’m RD’ing SEAS. Prospective major is probably ORFE (Operations Research/Financial Engineering).

ED to college, double Major in pol. sci and bio.

Early Decision to CC. I’ve wanted this since I was 13. Visiting the campus just solidified my decision. If I don’t get in here, I hope I at least get NYU or Princeton so that I can still be close.

Oh, and I want to do Philosophy/French/Medieval and Renaissance Studies.

^ There are plenty of schools that are much closer to Columbia than Princeton.

^ That.

sighs don’t have the stats to get in. Definitely will transfer after 2 years for sure (or a year). If not i think Columbia is my first choice for grad/law school…
