If they are saying 2-3 more weeks, it could be because they are waiting for 2nd term grades (i.e. full mid year report with term 1 and 2) from many applicants. I’m beginning to think that is the case.

I don’t think so.

Robbo222:

Then why would they wait another 2-3 weeks before releasing any more decisions?

No. We were told that they are trying a new thing this year to have the mail decision at the same time as the update on line and that the next batch of decisions which have already been made haven’t been sent out yet.

How do you get access to MyBlueHen? I haven’t gotten a code or anything.

Robbo222:

I guess I’m just really curious as to why they have not sent out decisions if they have already been made. Also, I believe they have always tried to match the portal updates to the mailing of letters (see posts from the past few years).

I used to manage a on-campus recruiting for a major financial firm. Process is different, of course, but lots of similarities in how the process is managed (my boss was a former college admissions director) My guess is that they need to see how many applications come in this week – at the last minute – so they can better manage the yield. By the fifteenth, they essentially know the “denominator.”

One way to do this. Go to UD’s website. In top right place your mouse point on My UD. Then click on UDSIS-students. Then enter your UD ID and PIN numbers you should have obtained when you applied. This should get you to where you want to go.

Today is the last day for UD to accept applications. Hopefully we shall start to see acceptances resume to be announced very soon. In past years UD frequently would mail out first acceptances on a Friday with associated portal announcements often beginning the following Monday (but not 100% of the time). This would make some sense if you try to match the mailing with the portal change (assuming several days for the mail to arrive). Maybe this weekend ??? Again good luck to all applicants.

My son was accepted to the Honors College today! Very excited. It showed up on the website today!

congrats to your son what time was that ? did it show on his portal ? anyone else hear

It showed up when I checked it a little while ago on his portal. It could have been there all day but I just check around 3:00.

nothing yet on ours we have been waiting since oct 8th … so happy your wait is over lets see if this is the start of something ?

In at honors.

Can everyone who is getting in please mention in state or OOS, stats, and how much merit aid, if any?

OOS - PA
$9000 merit aid
GPA 3.5 - all honors and AP classes
SAT 2240

ok i guess this is not a good sign

I have twins…similar stats, applied same day, both engineering. One was accepted today on portal around 3:30 pm. It was not there in the morning.
OOS- PA
$9000 merit
4.1 weighted GPA
SAT 1960
All honors and AP
Hope we hear about the other twin by tomorrow!

Sounds like all honors acceptances today??

My son was accepted… Not honors.

Huh…there goes my theory. I assumed with the $9000 merit it was honors. Did he apply for honors? Congrats and I hope your other son’s comes. That’s so hard for 1 to hear and 1 not!
