January 2010 SAT Score Prediction

Don’t count on me to get it. I mean, it’s possible; but I don’t want to set that goal for myself at this point.

And, as you can probably presume, most people who expect 2400 do not end up getting it.

My chances of a 2400 are almost entirely dependent on how the writing section plays out and if I made a stupid mistake in Math.

If, and that’s a big if, I score something like 2350-2380 with a 780 on Math, I’ll probably retake.

I’ll be idealistic for a minute, though:

It really would be amazing to get 2400. I would be ecstatic for a while. No one at my high school has ever topped 2200; we’re almost entirely an ACT school. I would probably bomb the required ACT on purpose in April.

REQUIRED ACT? >_>" That sounds ridiculous.

Around 2% of my school actually takes the ACT haha

Around 0.1% of my school takes the ACT. : \ I think everyone just gravitates to it because of the whole SAT Subject Tests. They think, “Well, I might as well take the real SAT if I’m taking all of these Subject Tests.”

Yes, the ACT is state-mandated for all high school students in Illinois.

No way!!!^^^^^^^^^^^^

Illinois is a state of hippies then. Im almost certain my friends in Illinois didnt have to take the ACT (my friends go to North Shore and IMSA).

REALLY? Is that because Illinois funds the ACT or the ACT pays Illinois or what?

I’m now positive I got a 800 in CR…I haven’t missed a single question from the compiled list.
For writing, I can’t seem to find any mistakes I have made yet but I might have had some stupid mistakes. And there are too much debatable questions to be certain at this point.
For math, I thought I got 800 in October but ended up getting 750 because I stupidly said the circumference of the circle with a diameter of 7 is 14pi and got “square” and “root” mixed up: worst part, I did not know that I even made such a idiotic mistake.
Like many of you guys, the possibility of 2400 seems to be open for me, but I highly doubt I haven’t made a single mistake. But as a student with English as a second language, I’m pretty happy with anything over 2250.

@sunshower212
let’s hope so!!! i’m positive i messed up on the math question with the kids in one club and another and both, and i think i messed up on the triangle inscribed inside a sphere one too. that’s all i’m sure of. hopefully i missed 3 or 4, both of which would round to the equivalent of a -4 with the incorrect answer penalty. let’s keep hope alive!! CR I’m pretty sure I got an 800! Writing is what it’s going to come down to! :D

can someone please tell me what it means to take in account 1/4 point? I think I made 10 actual errors. Do I need to do something with the 1/4 also? (I’m clueless :P)

Jesus Christ, anyone who takes the SAT like twice is a loser.

Real kids get 2300+ 1st try. Score Choice is for wimps.

Have fun with score choice at Stanford and Yale

AllegedPrincess, what’s your first language? : )

whisperofrain, if you assume you made 10 errors, you would have to subtract 2 from the rough score. (-10/4=-2.5) I think.

Correction: the ACT is required for all students in Illinois public high schools.

my first language is Korean haha

CR: 650-700 :frowning:
Math: 750-780
Writing: 650-700

:(

Cool! I’m learning that right now! 안영하세요! Okay, done with my off-topic discussion.

Alleged Princess,
so I only subtract 2? Or I subtract 10? Or do I subtract 12?
Thanks
