minority recruitment weekend

I doubt that would happen though. highly doubt it...

YES!! We are gonna be there during some nice NCAA games! That's gonna be awsome! They're will be parties up the wazoo!

You guys will be able to watch the games in Cameron w/ Duke students... that'd be an awesome experience for p-frosh. (Especially if/when we win!)

so i guess no one is going up april 9th - 12th right...
lol

I just got an info letter from duke talking about transportation and instructions on what to do when we arrive today.

lol@ stany
CC freak

Those dates will probably be for Blue Devil Days... there's bound to be a bunch of p-frosh on campus for those!

PS-- Is anyone here coming down to Duke Up Close? I'm hosting a p-frosh that weekend, and I have a few friends who are as well. Let me know! Also- I'm willing to show anyone around, bring anyone to lunch/coffee/dinner/a class when you're down at Duke. Seriously! You'll all have hosts, but if you're interested and I'm not swamped with work, the offer stands :)

ya, my itinerary came in today also. I really hope I enjoy it here.

Congrats to all of you going to the minority recruitment weekend! I'm so jealous of all of you who were invited! I wasnt! :( But....there is a light at the end of the tunnel->I was invited to Boston College's Discovery Weekend for African Americans. So..I'm just gonna count my blessings and embrace BC!

BC is a really nice school, congratulations. But don't give up on Duke! You might still get in.

about 7 days!!!

dayumz, we find out the day before minority recruitment weekend (Wed. 7 pm). I don't know if I'll want to find out...argh! it could spoil everything (if rejected). :-(

it would be funny to show up anyways....:)

lol, yea it'd be an excellent excuse to miss out on school though.

lol they are not that cynical...at least i hope not

woah.. I just got mine a week ago!

are we supposed to arrive there on thursday in suit and tie ready for dinner or what?

Only if you plan on taking a train or getting there at 5 PM. Otherwise, if you can get there before 3 PM, you don't have to arrive in a suit.

omg 3 days till we go to Duke!!!!!!. I am so excited. I hope to see everyone there and hopefully we all get in on wensday.

Hmm...it just occurred to me, do you think the itinerary they sent us may imply being accepted? I mean mine was postmarked on March 18th, by then they must've had all the materials needed to make a decision including midyear grades. I don't see the sense in mailing out itineraries to students whom they have rejected right? I don't know, I'm thinking into this way too much. It's just a matter of two days before decisions are posted anyway.
