<p>This is not just a "Minority Weekend". Actually, its official title is the "Black Student Allience Invitational and Latino Student Recruitment Weekend"... The letter clearly stated the the event was open only to African-Americans and Latinos... </p>
<p>Thats good though because in that way, any other students of other minority groups know that they weren't invited not because they weren't good enough, its just that they weren't eligible...</p>

<p>Did anyone get an email from their host? My host sent me an email reminding to take along a sleeping bag, pillows, toothbrush/toothpaste, etc. and gave me his cell so I could call him when I arrived at the airport.</p>

<p>back home from the weekend....omg that was off the chains!!! anybody agree....i am in LOVE with duke...and let me add that it was nothing like i anticipated....that fashion show was a little trife but enjoyed it haha...too bad duke isn't helping me go cause they are giving me NOTHING...so it will be hard but i will try so hard cause i think its worth it....</p>

<p>it didnt help at all... it rained 24/7, i was hosted by a senior and stayed in central campus away from freshman life... it presented a very artificially diverse social scene... i'm going to have to go visit again before i make my decision...</p>
<p>ohh... and i dont mind parties and drinking... but to have to call the EMT for two kids at a party is excessive...</p>

<p>yea I went to the BSAI weekend too. It made me fall in love with Duke. Like my main reason for applying was cuz im legacy but now I really really like the school. My host was awesome and I met some prety amazing people there. </p>
