Question @JusPhy and lizz2152: were your requirements checklist updated by the time you got your decision mail? I’m just asking because mine hasn’t been updated since ages.

I applied literally at the last possible moment, so I’m assuming this is all random.Maybe it has to do with the amount of credits you have? I’m a sophomore and have about 60 including my APs and not including this current semester. My checklist actually still isn’t up to date, as they say i need my HS transcript sent. I actually thought there had been a mistake when I got the email, so I ended up calling admissions who confirmed that they were already sending out results. I have no idea why I got mine so early.

@JusPhys Mine said June 20th as well, I’m a little confused. I might call to see what they say. My transfer credit page has loaded actually, but I haven’t gotten my financial aid letter yet. Has anyone else received notice of their financial aid?

@JusPhys I know I was thinking the same thing. They only give you 3 weeks, which would be December 3rd for me, and I’m not supposed to hear back from my other schools until like the first or second week of December so I’m not sure what I’m going to do :/

@JusPhys I know it’s difficult for spring transfers to receive financial aid since a lot of the money went to the freshman they received a few months ago. However, there is still a possibility that you could receive some money, just don’t expect it to be much.

I think, as a whole, NYU has never been a school to give copious amounts of money to its students. You can always be hopeful though. If you got in it means someone likes you, maybe someone someone will like you in the financial aid office.

Hey everyone, I applied for a spring transfer to NYU CAS for Econ and I had a quick question. Are admissions decisions released on a certain day of the week (ex. tuesdays and thursdays) over the next month, or are they released throughout the week on a rolling basis? I just want to know whether I should be anxious on one or two days of the week or all seven of them…lol thanks!

@dsgarf I think I heard they release decisions every Tuesday and Thursday of the week. I was a spring transfer for CAS and I received my decision on a Tuesday, but maybe that’s just a coincidence

How many people are applying to Econ major? Is anyone planning on studying abroad? (if accepted)

I just want to either get accepted or denied already. Kind of want to move to NYC, but also want to stay in CA just as much.

on albert.nyu.edu, my “Final High School Transcript” also hasn’t been checked off. But the Registrar lady said she sent it out in the beginning of this month… so hopefully they have it.

Got accepted into Columbia yesterday. I will still wait on CAS to compare certain things though. Even if I end up going to Columbia, you guys will be amazing anywhere you go. All the best; although some “Blue Manhattanites” hate to say that to their counterpart “Violet Manhattanites”…lol.

Hey. I’m just curious but do you get an acceptance email? Or do you check on Albert? Or do they send you a letter in the mail? I applied on October 28th and hearing people start getting their acceptances is making me a bit antsy. I’m not 100% sure if my application is complete though because my adviser said he sent in my registrar report, but it was after I sent in my application… so i can’t see if they received it or not. That’s the only thing I’m worried about.

@pup24hrt they send out all acceptances via email and then mail it within like the next week. The checklist of the stuff on Albert I know is sometimes inaccurate because mine said at one point they didn’t have my high school transcript, but I called and a woman in the office double checked and they had it. So if you are concerned I would definitely call Monday, they were pretty nice about it when I asked

Actually I just saw on Albert that they are going to start releasing decisions for spring transfer in early December, but they already started sending out decisions?

@lizz2152 Hi Thanks. All the items on Albert for me are checked off. Before I was missing things, but I emailed the admissions office and they updated Albert for me. But the Registrar report isn’t one of the checklist points, but I did email the admissions office again to ask them if I was missing anything. I still haven’t gotten a reply yet though.
