@pup24hrt yeah they did start sending out at least some decisions last tuesday, thats when I got mine. I would imagine that the items on the checklist are the most important things they look at for admission, and they probably would have emailed you if they didn’t receive your registrar report. They were missing my registrar report because it hadn’t arrived yet and they emailed me, so I think that they would have emailed you if it was missing. But if you’re really worried I would call! You would probably get the answer faster than by email

@lizz2152 Ok, thanks a lot. That sort of alleviates some of my worries.

do you guys think they’ll still send out decisions during the week of thanksgiving?

Guys who have been accepted:

Have any of you guys received any more emails from NYU besides the acceptance letter? I know in the acceptance it said they should be sending out an email about how to apply for housing and how to set up your NYU email. I went ahead and applied for housing without the instructional email, I was just curious to see if anyone has heard anything else from the school.

Also, have you heard anything about when orientation is? I know it’s still super early, I’m just very excited for January!! (:

@rachel0725 I got my acceptance but no other emails. Still waiting to hear about financial aid… did you get your financial aid letter? Also, which housing did you apply to? I’m not really sure which to ask for, and I wasn’t sure if there were certain places that were good for upper classmen

@lizz2152 I am not applying for financial aid. I have a tuition guarantee payment plan from the state of Texas. It will be covering 40% of my tuition and my parents are making up the difference. And from what I’ve read, most upperclassmen transfers will get placed in Greenwich Hotel or Lafayette. I put Coral Towers, U-Hall, and Gramercy as my top three. Lafayette was my 4th. I really want Coral towers or U-Hall because of their location but we’ll see haha. Lafayette would be fine with me because that’s where Greek Life is and my sorority has a chapter up there so i’m planning on re-affiliating.

To find transfer credits, you should just go to the link that says transfer credits right? Mine isn’t up yet and they said it should be.

@JusPhys yes! That is where mine are. Mine showed up the day I got accepted.

Jk I got it fixed. But my APs still aren’t showing up.

Hopefully if they stick to the Tues/Thurs notification schedule we’ll hear some more news tomorrow!

Hey guys, do you think for some reason they would only send out “acceptances” before the official “early December” news on Albert? In other words, are they sending out applications that do not require further review because they are clearly qualified? I only ask this because I have not heard of any rejections, yet several of you have been accepted. Although, getting rejected isn’t exactly a fun topic to talk about anyway…so I could be totally wrong. Any chance I’m not?

Either way, as an applicant to CAS as a sophomore I’m keeping my fingers crossed. I really hope I hear back from them tomorrow!

@dsgraf12 Don’t worry. I think if we haven’t heard by December then we should worry. But for now it hasn’t been that long.

Hey everyone,

I asked this question a few days ago, but I’m hoping to hear from someone that may recognize my issue. My checklist was initially marked complete (for a few days), but the college transcript for my current college was unchecked. I haven’t received any emails requesting supplementary forms so I’ve been hesitant to call. I’m really hoping to receive a decision this week - does anyone have any insights into what I should expect? Should I call?

@courtclay Call. just in case. They’re not bothered by it and there’s not usually a wait time. Don’t worry about it though because I was accepted last week but my HS transcript wasn’t even checked off until today so their system is a mess.

@dsgraf12 I was mildly confident about my chances, but I wouldn’t call myself a shoe-in. I have a 3.7 and a few B/B+s, with few extra curriculars in college (though admittedly that was replaced by internships)

Any ideas what time tomorrow (EST to make it simple) I could potentially be hearing from admissions? My high school transcripts were checked off today on albert and everything else is already checked…anyone else think they could be hearing back tomorrow?

I mean, I’d like to but I have no idea. My app has been complete since October 24th, but I applied to a pretty obscure school that I haven’t heard of any acceptances for yet so who knows. It seems like people have been hearing at around 11:30-12:00 EST though.

Anyone else refreshing their inboxes every 5 minutes?

Yeah, what time did those who were accepted get their email? I’m not trying to sit in class refreshing my email every 2 seconds

@FlexPavillion apparently at 11:30-12:00 EST (hotelhunt, 2013). But I believe anytime now is possible. Ughhhh this anxiety!

Check your email, I literally just got mine
Accepted!!!
