Gotta second @mganxx, I submitted my app Feb 1st (Fall 2015 transfer), then saw my app still wasn’t complete towards the end of Feb, I called them and it turns out it was something trivial and they marked it complete right then and there. It should’ve been marked complete way before that. I still ended up getting in, but it’s really important to stay on top of your app.
I called yesterday and was told marked as “complete” does not show up on wolverine access. She said the had all of my materials checked off, but it has not been processed yet or marked as complete. Once it’s processed and marked as complete, it will take 6-8 weeks.
@oct2015yay I may be wrong, but I think they usually give out a decision to everyone by Mid-November.
Hi everyone. I’m a California CC student looking to apply to EECS (CE or CS) for fall and I was wondering what was the average admitted transfer GPA to EECS majors. Do I have to get all of my prereqs done by the time I apply? Is it really hard for out-of-state students to transfer to umich? Can anyone give me some advice please?
@walter03 Ok! Thank you for the info!
I got in! I just made this account to post this. I got in on Thursday, October 22. I am a sophomore, waitlisted and then denied straight out of highschool. Congrats!! When did you complete your app?
Thanks! I submitted all my materials all throughout the month of September, but I don’t think I sent my app until the last week. I called the day before the deadline and asked if they had all my application materials and I ran through the checklist with a (really nice) girl in the transfer admissions office - everything was in!
I also forgot to mention that I had 2 really great letters of recommendation.
I also sent in a College Report (I e-mailed it to my advisor and she replied "Thank you for the information. The College Report is not required for the transfer application.) I’m not sure if they took a look at it, but it certainly didn’t hurt!
people who were admitted: How did you first receive your decision,Wolverine Access or Email?
E-mail for me.
@Dawnseeker11 They usually update wolverine access first then send emails out in the afternoon/ evening. The one morning I didn’t check WA was the day i got in lol
@walter03 I do not think it does anything particularly positive or negative for your application. It’s just a very good thing to do in order to stay on top of your application! Sometimes they miss something or make a mistake. Checking in every now and then stops that (:
do they factor in the GPA of only the classes that transfer in or just the overall GPA? or both maybe?
@walter03 They look at your overall GPA. Later on, they may look at how many classes you have that transfer over, but I don’t think it is that big of a factor (atleast at UMich) for your initial admittance.
I was notified by Wolverine Access first then the email. Received the letter about a week later.
Congratulations to all admitted for winter! Fingers crossed for everyone else!! Surprised there are not more posts about admissions at this point. Should be real soon.
What time do the CoE decisions usually come out?
Never posted before but wanted to update the people who are anxiously awaiting a response. I received my decision on Wolverine Access this morning and my email late in the day. It has been a long road… I will have 60 credits when I start at Ann Arbor, Never give up. This is my second time applying and my college GPA was a 3.6. I attend a four year university. My record before was abysmal. They really do give second chances. Good luck to everyone still waiting.
Hey! To the people who got in, what’s the next step?? I got my letter in the mail and it didn’t say much other than congrats on getting in. I accepted my admissions and paid my deposit on WA, so whats next?I’m trying to get my dorm and classes settled ASAP lol.
I’m still waiting for my decision. I applied to CoE, Civil Engineering. I’m an international student, I’ve completed two semesters here in Mexico in the honors program, each with 8 courses. GPA: 3.87. Do you think I could get in? I’m starting to worry! They’ve emailed me asking for college syllabus, is this a good sign or is it normal for them to ask syllabus?
@delab95 University’s usually ask for a syllabus if they are unsure of the contents or structure of one of the courses you took.
