did anyone from New Jersey get their letter?

combodavid: It seems that youre an international student right? I think they would notify international students by e-mail, so you dont have to wait for that long…

are internationals really notified by email from swarthmore???..

I am not sure…but the email notification system works for Cornell,Colombia and Ann Arbor.

Well looks like we will not know until next week. I wonder how many Swarthmore ED candidates visit this forum as it looks like only few accepted and few rejected.

Sum did get thre mails ryt???..so evn morr freakd out…@treing did u apply to swarthmore ED as well?

Yep!!! I applied ed.

im in (northern) va and i got my letter today, so you probably should too hjohnston.

i got in!!! :)

Swat2014, the Common App DOES allow you to make a different version of the application to correct errors. The instructions are here:

Click on Instructions and page down to this:

Once you’ve created the new version, you click on the MOVE button underneath your list of colleges to move any colleges that you have not yet submitted to the new version.

i got rejected:(

its really not as disappointing, i guess because i already prepared myself for the worst. ohwell i guess im not meant to be… good luck to all you guys!:)

yea, I got my letter today.

:( rejected.

good luck to everyone else!

It’s odd…they seem to have a habit of rejecting those who want to go most!

I got rejected today as well. Best of luck to you all. I look forward to competing against you all once more in the 2032 Democratic Presidential Primaries.

I got rejected too… Good luck to everyone else though and to those of us who were rejected: Swarthmore doesn’t know what they’re missing. We’ll all end up at great schools and do amazing things in and after college.

I have been following all your post over the past few days and nights, my daughter applied for ED too. She was rejected too :(

I’m sorry you guys didn’t get in

I wonder what it takes to get into such colleges, you all seemed to have great grades etc, Now time to focus on looking at other colleges.
For those of you that didn’t get in, I know you will each find and get into the right school.

deferred :(

oh god…wasn’t expecting my decision until Tuesday…I WANTED MORE TIME TO NOT THINK ABOUT IT!

grr. I’m sure everyone who didn’t get in will do amazingly in general though…I think people who want to go to Swarthmore for the most part seem to have (from what I’ve seen) a certain type of personality that will really make a difference in the world. ^^

and good luck greentea for the next round! I’m sure you’ll do brilliantly. :)

rejected…
this stinks…

wow. swarthmores making a big mistake…

does anybody know what percentage of deferred applicants actually get admitted during the regular round?

I think that the numbers are still low, but proportionately the percentage of ED applicants that make up the student body ends up higher because of the high rate of RD applicants who get in not attending.

…if that made ANY sense.

I got rejected too, btw. Pity, but I guess there’s just another school that is meant to work out better for me or something like that. XD Where is everyone else applying? I’ve heard that UChicago is a similarly-minded school.
