Tape Measure Madness in Ridgecrest South

I tell myself it is proactive grieving…

LOL…I get it. My floor is currently covered in an assortment of school supplies, apartment decor, shoes, and hair accessories as our two youngest prepare to return to school tomorrow and the oldest prepares to pack to return to the UA. Carry on…I think it’s normal.

my floor is only half covered (or half uncovered). i dropped off one a couple days ago and the other leaves in three weeks.

Well I finally sent all three out to swim so I can regain control of my house!:)

bumping so Sniner can find this thread

To answer the question about the chair fitting, the second linked chair fits part way but not fully under the desk. My son loves it.

Might as well bump this one up too since everyone now knows I’m anal-retentive. At least now y’all can get busy shopping.

^^^ You are out of the closet, Class2012Mom! We will all come to you now with out data-intensive needs. :)

So for those of you that bought the new chair. Where did you keep the other one?

Not sure if they are still there, but a couple of the boys put their bedroom chairs in the living room, after getting the OK from the other RMs.

Do the windows have blinds? Do most put up curtains in boys rooms (I probably wouldn’t :))

The windows do have blinds. Some hang curtains for decoration and some hang them to block more light.

While there are blinds, my son hung room darkening curtains on a tension rod because he’s part vampire and couldn’t take any early morning sunlight.

Son’s room at RCS

The tension rod that worked best for us. RCS Bedroom window takes the 24" - 36" size. That’s for most RCS windows, I know some are odd sizes (5th floor maybe?)

I have to admit, Class2012Mom, I’m way more interested in your cupcake photo.

Those aren’t mine. Credit illinoisbamamom. They do look scrumptious though, don’t they?

MereMom: You should see her elephant cookies.

Great, now you guys have me wanting cookies and cupcakes. The kale chips I am baking just aren’t going to cut it!

MereMom: Let’s just say they turned out inadvertently, hysterically, ‘rude’.

Perhaps a consult with malanai?

Enjoy your chips!

We visited 'Bama for Capstone Scholars Day a couple weeks ago. Their suites are sweet! Thought it was hilarious that when I saw the measurements for Ridgecrest pop up on here. Great idea :)

Does anyone know how wide the door of the bedroom is? My son has an over the door rack that his aunt just gave him as it is too wide for her doors. He thinks it would be great to hang stuff on, but don’t want to haul it all the way to Alabama if it is too wide. Thanks. I am not talking depth of the door- width of the door. This is 19.5 inches with 6 hooks on it.
