Wat events do you run? Like last year we had a ton of people going to states nd was up there but this year only 5 people from out team made it. Including me tho =) I made it for the 4x4 relay nd we ran a 38.4. Im hoping we can drop another second off out time and maybe even place... now im just wishing

My school's team is going downhill. Last year we had the majorty of the distance team went to state, but the majorty were also seniors. Track starts up in a little over a week, and no one has been lifting weights or even running. It's a high of 16 degrees today, that might be a reason why? I've pretty much have been just doing weights. I'll continue with sprinting and long jump this year.

100m-11.2
LJ-21'4''

^^^^
oops

3 38.4 not 38.4

I run the 800. Pretty much it, lol

Helpthelazy, my team doesn't usually go there....we usually go to Episcopal in Virginia.

Came in third in the 500m. 1:11.8...I died in the last 100m. Then, to show how dead I was...I ran the 4x400. The 400 I ran in the 500m was faster than what I ran in the 4x400.

One week off, and then spring season begins. I can't wait.

i have a meet in the Manhattan armory today- running the 3000 and the 1500 argh

Nice, Good Luck to you

thanks- i got a PR in the 3000 (by ONE second lol-->13:04), and it was my first time doing the 1500 and i got 6:06. i also ran the 4x800 but i didnt get my split time yet (im guessing it was around 2:59)

yeah i'm not the worlds best runner but hey im improving!
-i'm a girl BTW

^Just remember, getting a PR by one second is still getting a PR.

Discus - 126ish
Shot - 38 :P

1 11.8 is pretty fast, i could never hold out a sprint that long and woulda died out much earlier. Also our outdoor track doesnt start until March 2nd, but i cant wait. I shouldnt look to far ahead tho cause i got states tomorrow. I sure hope we do well.

Boroughs today; kinda exciting since it's my last meet at the Armory hah. But, I'm gonna run the 1500 bleh.

AGH! My first spring meet isn't until March 16th. That means three weeks of practices without meets. Screw the newbies who need that time to get back in shape. I want to race!

^^Good luck. At least it's not a mile lol.

Let's resurrect this thread now that the spring season is underway...anyone have times/stories to tell?

I guess I started off well...53.6 in the 400 on a cold day. How have your seasons gone so far?

Where The Heck Was I When This Thread Go Started........i Am In Love With Track....hence The Name The Bestmiler

Ummm... I'm managing track this year. My main events used to be hurdles, pole vault, and the 400. I couldn't get in shape last year because I had to take care of a stress fracture, but some times from freshman year are (in shape, but with a stress fractured foot)... 300H 49 seconds (can't exactly remember, may be a sec or two off) and 400 64 seconds. I don't have a clue on hundreths. Not the best, but... Yay mid-distance!

is the 400 mid distance?...i thought it was more sprint

Well, unless you're one of those crazy people who run sub-50 (i.e. 12.5 for each 100, god I hate DeMatha), then it's not really a dead sprint like the 100 or the 200. And it's not an endurance race (though sometimes I'd beg to differ--you should have seen my last 20 meters the other day), so I guess it's right in the middle.

And a 64 sec 400 for a girl, a freshman girl at that, and a freshman girl with a stress fracture at that is damn good, same for the 49 in the 300m hurdles.

i HATE YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>ORANGE JUICE>...............god im so jealous.......4.19............darn you.........................noooooooooooooooooo
