UT Austin 2011/12 Transfer Guide

Not to feed the hopephail, but I seem to remember that the online portal is updated 24 hours after decisions are made.

So would that mean that if they made the decisions today, we wouldn’t know till tomorrow?

Yep. But I say we wait until April 1st anyway.

@ nwb123
No the freshman date was February 17th. We already know  But people are still doing waist list stuff. Hope you find out soon!

Its starting to become a nervous tic where Im logging in to my status check every hour :(

Chill, yo. It’ll be okay, we’re all in the same boat.

I doubt anyone has gotten in yet. Even that person from Penn, i think they just have nothing better to do than make stuff up. As far as yesterdays supposed date, there was probably a misunderstanding. I’m waiting until the third week of April before I really become a nervous wreck.

Yeah, I agree with Ozzy. Most decisions should come out from mid-April onwards. But for those who will have 30 hours AFTER the Spring semester, if sent to UT in a timely fashion, they should have their decisions before June 1.

The thing I don’t understand is, why would the counselor I called tell me late-March and then people get told mid-April?

DarkRyder,

I have no reason to not believe you. However, empirical information from last years thread and a number of contrasting information puts your “March” notion in a suspicious light. This thread is full of people, myself included, who are constantly checking their status page. The fact that no updates have been posted in the prior two days has made a number of posters a big moar anxious than usual.

Personally, I’m going to hold out until April 1st — and if there isn’t any decision posted then, I’ll just quit looking until the 15th.

All the best.

I’m just glad to know that I’m not the only one who is going through this anxiety!

Yeah, actually DarkRyder I didn’t believe the 23rd deadline til you posted the same. I wasn’t sure about the other guy’s grasp of English (not being derogatory, just it didn’t seem like his first language or something) so wasn’t sure about the communication between him and whoever he called. But, seems their official date of mid April at the earliest is still the most accurate. Will be posting soon if I hear anything.

Side note, if anyone here is interested in a roommate, feel free to PM me. I have a BA currently from May 2010 but am looking to get a BS in physics & astronomy, so any similar interests are appreciated.

So are decisions coming out soon? My admission status still says that they are missing my college transcript. I have mailed them lots of times asking what is missing (I send all the docs together and they do have everything else), but they never answer… Should I worry? Does that mean that they haven’t even considered me?

When did you send your transcript? If you sent it near the deadline, don’t be surprised. They get bombarded with a ton of mail near the deadline. Don’t worry about too much!

yeah! I actually send it 2 days before the deadline… but what worries me is that they do have everything else on file… S:
hope it doesn’t mess up my admission…

As long as they received it before the deadline, you’ll be ok. It takes awhile for the system to be updated.

Two days before the deadline was a Sunday. I doubt they received it on time.

Moniso, how did you send it? If they received it AFTER the deadline, they won’t look at it, so unless you sent it electronically or 1 day mail, you’re screwed dude.

I sent them v

Hey guys, it looks like decisions are coming out already for some people. On the facebook page for Be a Longhorn, somebody asked if transfers were being notified yet and this was what UT said, “Yes. Some have been notified, but the majority of transfer applicants will receive their decisions in May.” Maybe some of us will be the lucky ones and find out soon. Good luck to everybody!!
