Congrats !!! Welcome to the communications team ! :D

Hey! I actually was following this discussion board without signing in and commenting, but I noticed you were from Philly. Where in Philly? Where did you go to school? I’m from outside of Philly in Deptford, NJ but I briefly lived/went to school in Philly.
I was accepted into my first choice of Philosophy but I still haven’t received an acceptance letter. However everything else seemed to come in.

Oh no way! I was going to do an internship in Deptford but went somewhere else instead. I live in University City and go to school at Drexel. Where did you go?

Oh wow thats funny. I went to high school in Deptford, then I went to Sarah Lawrence in Bronxville, NY for two years (didn’t like the academic/social atmosphere.) But yeah, I took a year off to pursue dance but I think its a much wiser choice to finish school, since I got some loans. Yeah but in the meantime I work at the University of Penn in a Law Office as a student worker. Its so annoying because when youre in the UPenn area, its really elitist (identical to Sarah Lawrence.) But when youre in Drexel’s campus its more refreshing because those are the type of people I grew up with, even some from my high school go there. Wait did you live in University City when you grew up or is it because you go to Drexel? What do you study/Why did you leave?

Hello everyone, I really need someone to tell me my chances in getting into the university of texas for the fall semester of 2011.(For the liberal arts school)
GPA:3.7
With 32 hrs
Thank you

I think you have a good shot GPA wise Khalifa7. How were your essays? After GPA that seems to be the next thing they look at. Good Luck

I actually enjoy Penn’s campus more than Drexel’s :D, it’s a lot greener and I love their architecture. I’ve only lived in University City since joining Drexel in 2008. I’m originally Egyptian/Greek so I’ve lived on the other side of the world before coming to the states.

I’m studying Chemical Engineering (junior transfer) and I’m leaving Drexel because I want to experience both ends of the stick. Drexel’s Co-op program gave me outsanding work experience and UT’s Biomolecular research programs are great - considering I want to go to medical school.

But that’s great, I had a feeling I was going to be one of the very few OOS’ers transferring in to UT!

@khalifa7, your GPA is really good but as cherrybomb82 said, at this point your essays will make it or break it. Good luck!

If I am not admitted yet, is there anyway for me to see which courses transfered and what my UT GPA is? (Where would I go/click to find this)

I believe my essays were good but yet again that’s my point of view.
Final question!
I’ll be sending my spring transcript on monday. How long does it take them to respond?

It may take a while because they have on the website that decisions will be made after they have everything from the entire applicant pool, and alot of people will be sending in their final transcripts at the end of the spring semester. UT doesnt give a specific time for decision Keep us posted and good luck! I hope you get accepted :)

Sure thing
Thanks alot guys:)

@ramezb I checked the Interactive Degree Audit and it still says “No courses” I’m hoping this just means they haven’t finished evaluating which classes transfer.
