33 days!!! At most, that is. It’s going quick, we can do this!

i agree its going go really fast.
I am applying out of state so I hope it goes well.

Hey everyone! I applied for EA really early in October, and I was shocked to hear how many applications they got in just 2 weeks! I applied OOS (Illinois) so I am really nervous, and it is comforting to see others in the same position I am in! I hope we all get accepted!!! I got deferred from Michigan, so i am really anxious to see how UVA will react! UVA is of course my dream school.

If we’re all lucky enough to get in we should definitely all stay in touch!

Do you think they will be released at midnight of the 30th?(therefor being the 31st) or later on in the day? Because if it’s at midnight it’s either going to be a really good day, or a day filled with disappointment.

Is there anywhere I can find the average scores of an accepted out of state student as opposed to the overall average? Thanks.

TPE - If history repeats, look for a 5pm release (hint - the last couple of RD announcements have been on the Friday preceding the original published date).

Golden - In state vs OOS data for scores is not released by UVa.

We always release at 5 PM or 6 PM. I think there was a year when we released on a Thursday, but it’s been on a Friday the last couple years.

We won’t know anything for a few weeks. We’re still reading!

Yep, I addressed this on the blog. Only send something if we contact you about it. The transcript is most likely for a school your son listed as attending, but isn’t his primary high school.

By the way, addressing me here isn’t apt to get a prompt response. Contact me through my blog or Twitter. I don’t have much time to look at this forum during reading season and I just happen to be checking during our break.

Is there anyone else that has gotten deferred from Michigan (university) that is also applying to UVA, and if so what were your stats? I ask this because I am in the same position and I was just curious to see where I stand!

Does anybody else see in their to-do list in the SIS a “High School Transcript” and a “Mid-year report”? Kinda nervous that it means that I got deferred :O

^^ Interested in the response to this as well. A mid year report on your “to do” list would not be necessary if you have been admitted, as if you have been admitted only the FINAL transcript is required. I think Dean J may need to 'fess up on this one.

It says this for everyone. That’s just how SIS is programmed, I believe.

I’ve addressed status page on the blog. It takes time for credentials to be matched.

Hey Dean J!
I understand that it takes time for them to process, but I never used to see a mid year report as an outstanding item before. Why all of a sudden? Anybody else have that in their SIS?

The MY report is there for everyone. You can see comments about it from November. I wrote about it here (second point):

would ya look at that … it’s january … the real countdown has begun everyone

y’all i’m so anxious. the first thing i thought about at midnight on january 1st? “Oh Lord… I’m hearing back from UVA this month.”

i feel ya!

Went back to school today and had trouble focusing! With the decision date closing in, I was day dreaming about UVa a lot!
