Nothing in the mail here either. Giving myself ulcers. I’m transferring with 100+ credits and 3.6GPA with a rigorous course load, for the sake of stats. Lemme know if anyone’s shows up anytime soon!

Well guys I got a rejection letter from UW in the mail today. But good luck to the rest of you! I hope you all make it in (: looks like the next batch of letters are out.

Thanks for updating us! I’m sorry you weren’t accepted this time around but I’m sure you will be in a future quarter.

Unfortunately not for me, this was the end. I’ve already got a job and life to continue living now and a two year degree to do it with. All of this has been on hold while I waited for the letter and now it’s time for me to get back to it. University of Washington was a chance thing for me and it didn’t work out and that’s okay. I am going to ask my department major what happened since I got accepted to it but I’m okay. Thanks for your guys support and encouragement hope university of works out for all of you! Good luck (:

@daniikinns Thanks for updating us. It sucks that you didn’t get in, especially considering you got accepted into your major.

I’ve still not heard anything. No letter, no transcript.

@candela. Same here. Waiting for anything at all

Got my rejection letter in the mail today. Barf.

Bummer. I’m surprised given your stats. I’m sure you’ll get in easily elsewhere

For anyone that is still waiting: I called admissions today and was told that, while it may take until mid December for all decisions to be mailed, the last ones will most likely be mailed in the first week of December. So it shouldn’t be long now.

Wow I know it’s not long but mid-December does not give those who are admitted very much time to prepare for the quarter. Thanks for letting us know!

Wow! Mid-December? That doesn’t give much options for orientation dates and registration. When I registered for my orientation ( on Dec. 10th) the last date was December 19th.

@ellerrad9
Yeah, I was kind of surprised tbh. If I go to WWU, will that affect my ability/chances to transfer to UW in Fall 2014, does anyone know?

@coljnr9, when the UW closed out my fall 2013 application for missing info, I contemplated taking some online courses from WSU where I had already been accepted. My advisor told me if I wanted to go to UW I needed to just hang out at my CC for one more quarter and apply again, because transferring in to UW from another 4-year institution is extremely difficult and does not happen often.

Just an update - no letter in the mail today, no unofficial transcript either. Is there anyone else still waiting?

Yep, there’s still me! Haha. Same as you: no letter, no transcript. We will most likely hear back in the next two weeks. Which at this point feels like forever, but it’s something. We’ve already waited several months, after all.

just to give you guys a heads up, the reason why they do it in waves is that the people who got accepted earlier only have like one week to decide if they are attending uw or not. I had until the 20th to send my reply in and my friend who got accepted last week had until the 22nd to reply. Then UW sends out more letters after that date, so they know how many more spots they have left to give out. So there will be more acceptance letters sent out next week most likely.

That makes a lot of sense. They may be holding off on my decision because I have a lower number of transferrable credits than other applicants (will be 78 by the end of this quarter). Basically it wouldn’t kill me to enroll in a CC for a couple of quarters and apply again for Fall 2014. Thanks for the info.

@Candela
If you do not get accepted then that would be a really good idea to go to the community college for a couple more quarters and apply again or even apply for fall quarter. It will end up saving you money too and making you a more competitive applicant if you get good grades. But hopefully you will get in!! :)

Yep, that’s definitely what I’m going to do if I don’t get in. Hopefully I do, but if not, there’s no huge issue :)

ugh!!! still waiting… I’m seriously going crazy!!! I think I’m going to call admissions tomorrow to see if they can give me any info! doubt it, but at this point I’m desperate to know anything at all!
