i meant gud luck to the ones that are waitin too////

So what’s the instruction on the official letter, how do we get things moving for those of us still waiting?

Hey oldeknave,
The acceptance letter only says that I have been accepted to the UW. It says to look out for the purple welcome envelope in the mail for further instructions on orientation and registration.
From what I know, it would be helpful to get the immunization record ready.

Thanks, did not realize we would get an acceptance letter before the purple envelope. Is the acceptance letter just a single piece of paper in a small envelope?

Cheers

Yep, a small purple envelope.

oldeknave: Yh it’s similar to a small letter envelop.
To put it another way, it looks exactly like a denial letter (just different inside content). I know because I got one before.

of course…purple , that’s funny, thanks :D

@Sgcore, yeah I got the denial before, and that’s what I was getting at :D

I got my letter and packet on the same day.

Hi there! I’ve been following this thread for a week now and have been enjoying all the optimism here. I’m still waiting on my transcript to load but I have a good feeling about it. Congratulations to all of you, future students! What are you looking forward to the most about attending UW?

Has anyone received their admissions letter before their unofficial transcript has loaded?

Yes, this has happened before.

I having a hard time figuring out the sequence of “after being admitted.” Could someone please clarify. When exactly can we register for classes? And what part does the immunization record play in the whole process? Do they let you sign up for orientation before submitting the immunization record?

If you’ve already payed the fee I think it might be possible to sign up for orientation. Go to your MyUW page, then Admissions, then “After Being Admitted, Seattle” and then "First Year Programs, and then “Register for an A&O Session”

When I try to do it, it says that I can’t because I didn’t pay my fee yet, but I haven’t received instructions on how to do that yet so I can’t do anything ):

Is there a way to pay the fee on MyUW somewhere? Boohoo, I’m all hyped up but I can’t really do much without that packet!

Yeah, I’m left in limbo without the packet also. It’s especially frustrating when I live right next to campus, and it’s easier to go directly to the admissions office instead of waiting for the packet and letter.

Having observed the discussion here over the past week, I know what the process is and I’m pretty sure I’m in. I can see my unofficial transcript, I have an ID number and I have had requests for tax info from Financial Aid to ‘finalize my financial aid package’. I would love to go to the admissions office and ask for confirmation in person, but I don’t think they could without asking me “well, have you received the letter yet?” (but I wish they would). :-/

sloooooowly losing hope as my unofficial transcript ceases to load. I’m not sure why I wouldn’t get in, but after reading everyone else’s stories about what major they’re going for and how they’re aiming toward it, it makes me lose hope. I was an Early Childhood Education major clear up until last quarter (spring), I’m a Junior, almost a Senior (after this quarter) and I decided to go to Nursing. I took some chem classes this Fall 2011. I have a 2-year-old that I had my sophomore year of college… Went to class w/ a newborn at home… I explained these things and how my situation changed so suddenly…

I HOPE* I get in, but I highly doubt it now that tomorrow is Dec 1st.

Haven’t received anything in the mail, status online still says, “Thank you for applying… blah blah blah”… :(

So I received my letter in the mail but no packet! Boo! I need that thing to find out what I have to do!

Micaec, first off nursing is probably pretty competitive. Second off, your unofficial might load after you get your acceptance or later on. DO not give up hope, last year a poster thought she definitely got rejected and got her letter awhile after everyone else with unofficial loading later in the day/week.

@Please, how do you pay the fee?

When exactly can we register for classes?
On your orientation date.

And what part does the immunization record play in the whole process? Do they let you sign up for orientation before submitting the immunization record?

You can sign up for it, but you are expected to have it cleared by the time your orientation date comes up. Regardless, the system will not let you register for classes until you have the immunizations taken care of.

whoops /misread please’s post. Travelgirl do you have any idea how we pay?

u send a check
