Winter 2012- Transfers Accepted/Denied/Pending?

nana17: Do you remember what day you had your unofficial transcripts loaded?

schan53

it was june 15(the first day), my friend heard back late june. so everything can happen.

good luck to u

Wish they would just load already! The waiting game is the worst! :frowning: maybe after veterans day they’ll load. Good luck everyone!

Still waiting…

Just be patient. it is a very busy period in UW. and don’t freak out if you don’t hear anything early. acceptance letters are sent in batches and the same for transcripts.

Ahh I guess we all gotta be patient… But I wish at least one of our transcripts would load so that the person could kinda update the rest of us.

The suspense is killing me!

I know right… I’ve been checking the UW site and this site to see anybody’s updates but nothing so far… tomorrow is mon so hopefully something will happen!

Here’s to hoping for an answer this week. I don’t think we can take anymore waiting!

I’m waiting as well. I’m and single mother, so I’m having panic attacks from the inability to plan. The window of time between acceptance/denial and the first day of classes is so small! Find an apartment, pack, move, find daycare, and a part-time position all in less than 2 months? Ack!

CGJ2012: If you get accepted, you should consider moving to Blakely Village near u-village. It’s UW student housing for people with children.

My husband and I live in family housing (the area for no kids) and we LOVE it. As soon I got accepted last winter, I applied for housing…got a great place and moved in before school started

Travelgirl,

Can you please describe how the housing looks like and the size. is it a pet friendly?

Does anyone know the typical winter quarter dates for transfer student orientations?

Well i’m in in the married housing w/out kids…but my apartment is huge for a one bedroom. I think i was told it was 725 sq feet.

When you walk into the apartment there is a huge storage room, another nook area past that (big enough for a computer desk and some book shelves), and a hall closet. walk down the hall, bathroom to the left and full kitchen w/garbage disposal to the right. At the end there is a big living room if you veer right and a big bedroom if you veer left with a walk in closet.

Biggest drawback is the only pets we’re allowed to have is fish.
Unlike dorms, we don’t have an RA. Only a CA…totally hands off since we’re older adults…as in I’ve never even met the guy.

I’ve heard that Blakely village (the one for people with kids) is much bigger, I’m pretty sure the housing website has further details, since I’ve never used it myself.

[Local News | Foreign enrollment skyrockets for UW | Seattle Times Newspaper](http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2016769522_international15m.html)

GL everyone

Hmm it probably doesn’t help with our anxiety that you’re posting the article about more foreign students getting accepted… but thanks for the info.

I don’t think anything is going to happen today… No activity in the mail or online so far. ):

It can still happen today, keep checking !

I read the “international enrollment” article yesterday. Yup, it definitely doesn’t help. But in case if I get denied, at least I would be able to make sense of it.

I don’t see anything happening today. We ll have to wait some more I guess.
Happy waiting!!
